Coffee Shop / The Lab

A coffee shop fit out for the guy's at The Lab Coffee

The guy's at the Lab coffee house asked us back to do the fit out for there second shop. The first shop they opened in Portglenone sat around 20 people, this time around the new premises in Magherfelt they where aiming to sit around 60+. When we first went to view the property it was just a large open planned room in which we had the freedom to design the flow of the shop along with everything in it.

As the store was so vast we decided to create an Entrance / walk way to the counter breaking off the rest of the seating yet still being in view. By doing this it allows the customers seated having a coffee not being disturbed by a que of people waiting to be served. We done this by making steel and wood dividers that fixed to the floor We then made and supplied upholstered benches, round bistro tables and a coffee table to finish this area off.
We then designed a large seating area with a mixture of 2 and 4 seated bistro tables allowing for easy access for families with prams and wheelchair users etc.
Then we added another long upholstered bench with backing pad and bistro tables making a nice comfy snug area.
This lead onto a large framed bespoke industrial communal table with stools perfect for large party's of kids and larger families.
We then added a long breakfast bar with shelving & high stools, perfect for whipping out the laptop and doing some work whilst having a coffee.
Last but not least we added in another long bench with bistros, making this the perfect spot to sit and relax and watch the world go by.

A big item this time around for the guy's was a real eye catching counter. We designed a counter with a steel plate front that wrapped around a built in refrigerated display and with the guy's slogan cut out and back lite. We added a cool looking back display and chalk boards to match along with a coffee dock for the take away customers.
